VARIABLE PITCH TECHNOLOGY (VPT™)

 

  • With our one of a kind VARIABLE PITCH TECHNOLOGY you can change the blade pitch - or let the fan do it for you in Auto Mode - from 0 to 20 degrees up or down (when the fan is operating) to move air in a columnar air flow or more conically disperse it for a wider reach.

 

  • With VPT you can move air the way you like - narrower or wider, down or up - equally efficiently according to your needs and changing floor conditions.

Instead of going for the off-the-shelf extruded aluminum blades, we put in a lot of efforts to mold our Rotatair™ composite blades to a shape that minimizes drag and turbulence. The shape also ensures consistent air movement across the fan with the precisely balanced set of six blades. The upshot - quieter operation and much more efficient air movement.

 

They are designed to be symmetrical to move air down or UP equally effectively.

 

The use of composite materials makes them

The blades are less affected by humidity or corrosive fumes, and require no maintenance.

We've also put in a great effort to engineer the blades and hub for our MPT fans which come with aluminum blades. But unlike other HVLS fans which use off-the-shelf extruded aluminum blades designed to go in one direction (basically airfoil shape that has a different purpose other than fan performance) our blades are symmetrical and aerodynamically designed to blow air equally efficiently up - when running in reverse, or down - when running in forward.

 

MULTIMODE SMART CONTROL

 

MANUAL TO FULLY AUTOMATIC FAN OPERATION IN FIVE USEFUL MODES

AirMotion’s easy-to-use, non-touch screen multi-mode fan control works with the on-board smart electronics and temperature sensors; and provide manual to fully automatic fan operations in five useful modes.

 

  • AUTO MODE > The fan selects the combination of optimal fan speed and blade pitch angle based on the indoor temperatures, and runs automatically. The user only sets the direction (up/down). This feature was first developed by AirMotion for the US Navy, now incorporated in all of our fans.

 

  • ECO MODE > The fan is intelligently programmed to select the most energy efficient blade pitch for a user-set fan speed.

 

  • DESTRAT MODE > VERY USEFUL MODE FOR THE COLDER DAYS. The fan turns on automatically when there’s a preset temperature difference between the fan and the control box (i.e. the roof and the floor level of the space) and turns off when the temperature difference is reduced to a set point - at user-set speed, pitch, and direction.

 

  • EXTERNAL MODE > The fan can be run by user specified external devices such as thermostats, timers, sensors etc.

 

  • MANUAL MODE > The user manually sets the fan speed and blade pitch.
